How much do you love the ocean? The northern coast of Oregon has some of the most beautiful oceanfront scenery you’ll ever see. So pack up your RV and head for the Coast!
Culture of the West Coast
The Oregon coast offers so much natural beauty and history. On February 14th, 1859, Oregon became a state. The Oregon state flag is the only U.S. Flag with two different designs on each side! They also have the deepest lake in the U.S. (Crater Lake) being almost 2,000 feet deep. These facts and much more make Oregon a very unique and beautiful state to visit.
What to See
This popular attraction right off Cannon Beach is a fun sight to see. The huge sea stack is 235 ft tall and was formed by wave erosion. At low tide, it is reachable by foot. And if you’ve come to town to see this massive rock, you have to stay and check out Cannon Beach. This quaint little town has a lot to offer travelers. Make it a goal to visit shops such as Icefire Glassworks, Sesame and Lilies, Signature Imports, and so many more.
This adorable beach town is close to Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, and Astoria making it the perfect place to stay. Some exciting local activities include crabbing, clam digging, kayaking, kite flying, hiking and so much more. And if you’re a fan of seafood, this is the town to get some amazing fresh seafood.
Town of Seaside
Fort Stevens Shipwreck
This is the perfect destination for RVers! Fort Stevens Park is beautiful and has 174 full hookup spots and 302 electrical spots with water all year round! So whatever time of year you decide to come and visit, you’ll have a place to park your RV. And during your stay, you can check out the famous shipwreck on the beach. The ship called Peter Iredale ran ashore in 1906 during its voyage to the Columbia River. Everyone on board survived and later the boat was scrapped for parts. Now just the skeleton remains are present on the beach. It makes for an interesting and dun day trip!

When to Visit
The summer months are the driest and warmest but this also means it’s the busiest time to come and prices will be higher. However, September through October tends to be less busy albeit a little chillier with possible rain. Anytime you visit the Oregon Coast, it is a good idea to bring layers and a rain jacket. The coast can be unpredictable and cold. Visiting beautiful Oregon will be an adventure you won’t forget! Book your trip today!
